Beauty Blender sponge

I wish this pink egg-shaped makeup applicator thing wasn’t so great, because it’s 20 bucks for a tiny SPONGE. But I have tried a bunch of the knockoffs and I’m here to say the original is the very best, don’t waste your money on anything else.

I don’t know why the Beauty Blender works so well, it just does. You do have to get it wet each time, otherwise its magic doesn’t kick in, but once it’s all moist and swollen (sorry) it somehow makes foundation and concealer application a total dream. In my opinion it works better than fingers or brushes, and while it does have the unfortunate effect of drawing product in (which leads me to assume some product is forever getting wasted) the smooth finish it leaves is truly amazing. I like to use a sort of patting motion with the sponge to get things blended, it feels like product gets perfectly infused into my skin that way. Don’t even bother with knockoff sponges, none of them are as good as the OG Blender.
